China Pharmacy is a comprehensive academic journal of pharmacy at the national level published both in China and globally, which is supervised by the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China and operated by the Chinese Hospital Association and Chongqing University Cancer Hospital. It is currently a biweekly publication, printed in full color. The journal serves as a high-quality academic platform for pharmacy professionals working in hospital pharmacy departments as well as those engaged in the research & development, production, operation and clinical application of medicines and pharmaceutical management personnel. It has broad and stable authorship and readership among hospitals at all levels, medical and pharmaceutical universities, and medical research institutions across China, and has a wide influence in the industry.

In the 2023 edition of Chinese S&T Journal Citation Reports (Core Edition), China Pharmacy ranked first in the total citation frequency, comprehensive evaluation, and total score among pharmacy journals. In the 2023 Edition of Annual Report for Chinese Academic Journal Impact Factors (Natural Science) released by Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), it ranked first among pharmacy journals again (No.1 in Q 1), and ranked first among 67 academic journals of pharmacy in terms of Clout Index (CI).
