OBJECTIVE: To establish a method for simultaneous determination of 8 active components in Dendranthema indicum, such as neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, isochlorogenic acid C, luteolin, monososide and apigenin. METHODS: UPLC method was adopted. The determination was performed on Waters ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 column with mobile phase consisted of 0.1% phosphoric acid solution-acetonitrile (gradient elution) at the flow rate of 0.3 mL/min. The detection wavelength was set at 335 nm and column temperature was maintained at 35 ℃. The sample size was 1 μL and sample room temperature was 8 ℃. RESULTS: The linear range of neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, isochlorogenic acid C, luteolin, monososide and apigenin were 0.140-1.680, 2.211-26.532, 0.178-2.136, 0.056-0.672, 0.460-5.520, 1.260-15.120, 2.725-32.700, 0.120-0.144 ng (r>0.999 6), respectively. The limits of detection were 0.02, 0.02, 0.02, 0.01, 0.01, 0.01, 0.04, 0.01 ng, and the limits of quantitation were 0.06, 0.07, 0.07, 0.03, 0.04, 0.04, 0.13, 0.02 ng, respectively. RSDs of precision, stability (10 h) and reproducibility tests were all lower than 2% (n=6). Average recoveries were 97.05%-102.04%(RSD=1.03%-1.65%, n=9). CONCLUSIONS: The established method has high analysis speed, high sensitivity, high resolution, good repeatability and accurate results. It can be used for simultaneous determination of 8 active components in D. indicum.
