    • Research progress on the intervention of energy metabolism disorders in chronic heart failure by active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine through regulating circadian rhythms

    • “Chronic heart failure (CHF) is closely related to myocardial energy metabolism disorders and affects patient prognosis. Based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine time medicine and modern biological clock rhythm theory, experts systematically explore the impact of biological clock on energy metabolism and the potential mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine active ingredients intervening in CHF. They found that various active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine, such as flavonoids, alkaloids, polyphenols, etc., can regulate the expression and rhythm of nuclear heart clock genes, improve mitochondrial function, promote fatty acid oxidation, increase glucose uptake and utilization efficiency, maintain metabolic balance, alleviate oxidative stress and inflammatory reactions in myocardial cells, correct energy metabolism disorders, and improve heart function.”
