OBJECTIVE: To provide reference for the position selection and development of hospital pharmacy personnel under the impact of artificial intelligence. METHODS: Through field investigation and literature retrieval, the effects of artificial intelligence on hospital pharmacy, challenge and opportunity for pharmaceutical staff were analyzed. RESULTS & CONCLU- SIONS: The artificial intelligence developed rapidly and applied in various posts, such as drug purchase and acceptance, drug storage, drug sorting, drug dispensing, drug distribution, drug management in ward, prescription checking and review, drug monitoring. Hospital pharmacy personnel are facing great challenges and new opportunities, such as in drug dispensing work, pharmaceutical professionals can give patients more professional knowledge and more humane care to provide high quality drug dispensing services for patients. In drug dispensing, pharmaceutical staff can give patients more professional knowledge and more humane care, and provide high quality drug dispensing services; clinical pharmaceutical staff can also participate in consultation based on patients’ disease information and assist doctors in formulating individualized treatment plans; clinical pharmaceutical staff can participate in pre-medication audit and provide pharmaceutical information to management departments based on the monitoring results of intelligent platform.
