OBJECTIVE: To establish a method for the content determination of Oryzanol tablet based on near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy. METHODS: Collecting spectrums and content values of samples, mathematics model for spectrum and content was established by using OPUS 6.5, and the predicted values obtained by the model were compared with the measured values of the ultraviolet visible spectrophotometry to verify the reliability of the model. RESULTS: The coefficient of determination of established quantitative analysis model based on 46 batches of samples by cross-calibration was 92.78%, root mean square error of cross validation was 0.364%. Based on the validation of 19 batches of samples, the root mean square of prediction was 0.295%, the correlation coefficient of predicted values and measured values was 0.948 1. The mean recovery of predicted values was 99.81%. CONCLUSIONS: The established quantitative analysis model and method is simple, rapid and accurate in the content determination of Oryzanol tablet.
