OBJECTIVE: To optimize the extraction technology of Compound Selaginella moellendorffii powder. METHODS: The amount of water, extracting time and times were screened by orthogonal test using the content of 6-C-β-D-glucopyranosul-8-C-β-D-xylopyranosyl apigonin (YⅡ) and astilbin, the yield of extract as index. The validation test was conducted. RESULTS: The optimal extraction technology was as follows as 12-fold water, decocting 3 times, 1 h each time; in validation test, the content of YⅡand astilbin were 0.350 6 mg/g (RSD=1.207 4%, n=3) and 1.406 0 mg/g (RSD=1.459 8%, n=3); the yield of extract was 23.066 6% (RSD=1.660 3%, n=3). CONCLUSIONS: The technology is reasonable and scientific, and can be used for the extraction of Compound S. moellendorffii powder.
