OBJECTIVE： To establish a method for the pharmacognosy identification of Zhuang medicine Ampelopsis grossedentata. METHODS： Original plant， medicinal properties and microscopic identification features were observed； TLC was adopted for the qualitative identification of it. RESULTS： The branch，leat and flower of original plant showed significant identification features，as well as the stem，tassel，leat and the stem cross-section，leaf cross-section，leaf surface and powder of medicinal materials； TLC spots were clear and well separated. CONCLUSIONS： The study can be used for the identification of Zhuang medicine A. grossedentata.
