OBJECTIVE: To investigate the safety of Ceftriaxone sodium injection and Levofloxacin injection through obtaining relevant data of the incidence of ADR. METHODS: By using prospective active monitoring mode, all patients that took Ceftriaxone sodium injection and Levofloxacin injection in the inpatient department of 4 pilot hospitals during Mar.-Sept. 2013 were monitored, recorded and analyzed statistically in respects of gender, age, medication duration, dosage form, involved organs and clinical manifestations, etc. Then calculate the incidence of ADR. RESULTS: Total incidence of ADR induced by Ceftriaxone sodium injection was 0.23%(3/1 318), and that of Levofloxacin injection was 0.82%(7/851). The incidence of ADR in female patients was higher than in male patients after given Levofloxacin injection, there was statistical significance (P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the occurance of ADR and gender, timing, preparation et al. Lesion of skin and its appendants was main ADR manifestations, accounting for 53.33%. All patients were cured or recovered. CONCLUSIONS: Active monitoring mode is benefit to calculate the incidence of ADR. Clinicians should pay attation to the occurrence of ADR.
