OBJECTIVE: To study the public-trust influential factors of institutes for food and drug control (IFDC) and establish public-trust evaluation index system so as to provide reference for public-trust construction and maintenance. METHODS: Through literature research and analysis, key public-trust influential factors of IFDC were extracted to set up three-level evaluation index system. The weight coefficient was set up by questionnaires and processed with standardization data processing to establish quantitative evaluation model. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: The three-level evaluation index system and evaluation model had been built, including political factors, detection capability, service quality, information disclosure, and supervision and regulation; there were 5 first-level index, 15 second-level index and 33 third-level index. The weight coefficient of 5 first-level index were 0.146 7, 0.320 0, 0.183 3, 0.233 3 and 0.166 7, respectively. According to the weight of different index, a recommendation to improve the public-trust of the provincial IFDC is that changing its short-board to achieve this goal. Firstly, they should focus on improving the detection ability; secondly, they should do a good job in information disclosure; thirdly, they should improve the quality of service continuously and strengthen the internal and external supervision.
