OBJECTIVE：To investigate the effect of fluvastation on the serum inflammatory factors， nutrition indicators and renal functions of patients with uremia. METHODS：96 patients with uremia were randomly divided into control group and observation group. Control group was treated with antihypertensive， hypoglycemic， diet， anemia improvement， and hemoperfusion combined with hemodialysis and other conventional treatment； observation group was additionally given 20 mg Fluvastation granule， orally， once a day. The treatment course for both groups was 3 months. Serum inflammatory cytokines[C-reactive protein （CRP）， interleukin （IL）-6， tumor necrosis factor （TNF）-α]， nutrition indicators （serum albumin， hemoglobin， plasma prealbumin）， renal functions [blood urea nitrogen （BUN）， serum creatinine （Scr）， immunoreactive PTH （iPTH）] before and after treatment， and the incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS： Before treatment， there were no significant difference in the serum inflammatory cytokines， nutrition indicators and renal functions between 2 groups（P＞0.05）； after treatment， the serum inflammatory cytokines in observation group were significantly lower than before and control group，nutrition indicators in observation group were significantly higher than before and control group， the differences were statistically significant（P＜0.05），there were no significant difference in control group hefore and after treatment（P＞0.05）； renal functions in 2 groups were significantly higher than before， and observation group was higher than control group， the differences were statistically significant（P＜0.05）. There were no severe adverse reactions in 2 groups during treatment. CONCLUSIONS：Based on the conventional treatment， fluvastatin can reduce the serum inflammatory cytokines levels， and improve micro-inflammatory state， nutrient levels and renal functions， with good safety.
